The Call for Abstracts for the 35th Annual International Cannabinoid Research Society's Symposium on the Cannabinoids is now open!


This year, our 35th annual ICRS Symposium will be held from July 6 - 10 at Indiana University in Bloomington.

ICRS2025 is an in-person meeting. As with previous ICRS meetings, short oral and plenary talks will be delivered by delegates attending in-person, at the discretion of the President and the 2025 ICRS Programme Committee, based on quality of abstracts submitted. Selected ICRS2025 presentation recordings will be available online to ICRS members after the event.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

1. Data submitted for presentation at the ICRS2025 Symposium should not have been previously published or presented.

2. If your research involves novel compounds, all structures not previously described must be fully disclosed during your Symposium presentation.

3. Your abstract must be prepared following proper sample abstract formatting. Submitted abstracts should have the following 4 sections: Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusions. The results section must include a description of the results that will be presented at the conference (and, ideally, actual data and details of statistical analysis). It is not acceptable to write vague statements such as ‘data will be presented in the general area of xxxxxx’.

Your abstract should be a concise summary of your study and its results, whether it is intended for presentation in either oral or poster format at the conference.

4. Abstract submissions must be one-page in length, saved in an editable format such as one of the following document formats:

    • Microsoft Word (.doc,.docx)
    • Rich Text (.rtf)

5. If there are figures or tables in your abstract and/or presentation, you must INSERT them into your abstract (Do not drag-and-drop graphics).

6. You must be an ICRS Member-in-Good-Standing to present data at our Symposia, and you must register for the entire Symposium.


ABSTRACTS NOT REASONABLY FOLLOWING THE FORMAT OF THE ICRS SAMPLE ABSTRACT WILL BE DENIED PEER-REVIEW.

All trainee presenters are eligible for a reduced “Trainee” level registration fee (pre-Doctoral and post-Doctoral).

To qualify for the reduced Trainee rate, applicants must:
1) be a pre- or post-Doctoral student/trainee,
2) be an ICRS Trainee Member-in-Good-Standing,
3) submit an abstract for review, and
4) have registerd for the symposium by June 1, 2025.

SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENT PRIZES – Merit-based prizes for outstanding research presented at ICRS2025.

Scientific Achievement Prizes are decided by highest average reviewer scores of Symposium presentations, scored by appointed committee reviewers via secret ballots, and will be presented at the gala banquet / awards ceremony of the ICRS2025 Symposium.

Note: Only pre- and post-Doctoral trainees members are eligible to receive presentation prizes.
